How Friction works.

Everything you need to know — from registration to final submission.

Phase 1 Complete

Register Your Team

Head to the registration form and fill in your team details:

Team name, a short team description, and each member's name, email, university, and age.

The team lead's email (first member listed) will receive all communications — payment instructions, team code, and Battle Pass.

Video Resume: Each team member must film a 2-minute video about their journey so far — what they've built, what they're passionate about. Coder, non-coder, vibe-coder — doesn't matter. This is how we get to know you.
Phase 2 Complete

Complete Payment

After registering, the team lead will receive an email with a Team Code and payment instructions.

Pay ৳500 BDT per team via bKash or bank transfer. Details are in the email.

Critical: You must enter your Team Code in the reference field when making payment. Without it, we cannot verify your payment. Payments without a valid reference are non-refundable.

After payment, take a screenshot and reply to the confirmation email from the same email address you registered with. We'll verify within 24 hours.

Phase 3 Complete

Receive Your Battle Pass

Once payment is verified, the team lead will receive a Battle Pass code (format: XXXX-XXXX) via email.

This code is unique to your team and is required for your final submission.

Do not lose your Battle Pass. Each code is tied to your team name and can only be used once for submission. We cannot reissue codes. Keep it safe.
Phase 4 In Progress

Build (72 Hours)

The theme has been revealed: FRICTION. The clock is ticking.

You have 72 hours to ideate, prototype, build, and submit your project. Deadline: April 26, 12:00 AM (BST).

Interpret the theme however you want. We don't care what you build — we care why.

Phase 5

Final Submission

Go to the submission form (Final Submission tab) and enter:

Battle Pass code + team name (must match exactly) + hosted project URL + 2-min demo video + optional source code link.

Deadline: All submissions must be in by April 26, 12:00 AM (BST) — exactly 72 hours after the hackathon starts. Any entry after this time will be invalid.
Tip: Your Battle Pass can only be used once. Make sure your project is ready before submitting. Double-check your team name matches your registration exactly.
